VANESSA 
TAMARIT

Vanessa Tamarit is a photographer from North Bergen, New Jersey. Being within such close proximity to New York City, Vanessa attended school in New York for a large majority of her childhood which has influenced her work. She has a strong passion for street photography because she loves telling the stories of individuals.  

In the last two years, nine of her works have been awarded by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards; six of those being Gold Key winners which proceeded to be recognized with a national silver medal. Vanessa truly makes a conscious effort in trying to help others with her talents. She takes photos for multiple non-profit organizations that benefit important causes such as Lupus y Latinos and Easterseals which advocates for people with disabilities. In addition, she has experience in photographing various events ranging from Baptisms, Sweet Sixteens, Graduation Parties, as well as being hired for professional headshots. 

In 2023, Vanessa graduated with a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design in New York City. She is proficient in Microsoft Office as well as the Adobe Creative Suite. She speaks fluent English and Spanish. In 2025, Vanessa will graduate from the School of Visual Arts with an MFA in Social Documentary Filmmaking.
